Vacations Don’t Fix Burnout. THIS will.

Pilgrimage-The Art of Active Rest

Stop trying to escape your life. Come back to it instead.

You’re feeling stressed and approaching burnout.

Or you’re checked-out and coasting – stable, but uninspired.

You want to make a change, but nothing meaningful comes to mind.

So you reach for an old-reliable solution – vacation.

You sit by the pool, sip fruity drinks, take in a show.

Try like mad not to log onto your e-mail.

But time is like sand slipping through your fingers.

You get back, all the problems are right there, ready to pounce.

But nothing changed.

All you did was delay them a week or two and burn through some cash in the process.

In truth, you don’t need a vacation. You need a pilgrimage.

A trip with purpose, designed for real, lasting change.

To protect your peace of mind, reconnect with your passion, or get clarity on next steps.

On Tuesday, November 17, I’ll give you a new way of resting that moves you forward towards balance, clarity, and passion.

What we’ll cover

-Take the Burnout Diagnostic - why burnout doesn’t budge when you just take a break

-What makes a pilgrimage different than a vacation – and which one you need!

-The Three R’s of time away.

-Why the Intention/Surrender Paradox is crucial to get what you need from a pilgrimage

Meet your Guide - Jeff Mount

Hello! My journey with pilgrimage started completely by accident. I was a successful leader and business owner, delivering self-defense training to thousands of people across dozens of fields. Yet I still struggled with perfectionism, self-criticism, and people-pleasing. I was captive to my early success, and didn’t enjoy much of it. Each new win only created a higher bar to clear – more tension, more chaos, more pressure.

When life got to be too much, I instinctively took a few days of solitude in nature to breathe deeper, enjoy beauty, and reflect. I gradually came to rely on these mini-retreats – these pilgrimages - to make tough decisions, recover from the bumps and bruises of life, celebrate my wins, and clarify how I wanted my life to go.

At some point, I learned that people have always taken these pilgrimages in one form or another – all around the world, and throughout history. Only recently have we begun to lose this practice. I believe in the power of pilgrimage so much that I wrote a book about it – called Seeking Thin Places: How Sacred Travel Heals, Restores, and Awakens the Soul Now, I coach leaders with both powerful impact and ease of soul. I know better than anyone that an extraordinary life requires extraordinary tools to navigate it. Come learn the art of pilgrimage – both ancient and game-changingly modern.
